Terra Bruce Productions, a St. John’s and Toronto-based musical theatre production company, is excited to enter the vibrant Toronto theatre community with two new original productions: Let’s Dance! The Musical, and The Wild Rovers. Led by entertainment visionary Bob Hallett, the company aims to enrich the cultural landscape of Toronto by developing and producing original musical theatre productions. Hallett is a musician, author, producer, and entrepreneur best known as a founding member of the Canadian folk rock band Great Big Sea.

Born out of a love of music and culture, the company was formed to hire within the incredible talent pool of Canadian artists, writers and musicians and build a repertoire of high-calibre, world-class shows. In addition to providing additional employment opportunities for Canadian talent, Terra Bruce Productions has purchased two historic theatres, The Majestic Theatre in downtown St. John’s and The Regent Theatre in Toronto. Plans are now underway to revive these incredible buildings. The Regent Theatre, will be a beautiful 350 seat theatre in midtown Toronto, returning the company to its roots as a neighbourhood arts centre.

“We are thrilled to enter Terra Bruce Productions into the Toronto theatre market with two outstanding original productions this year. Let’s Dance! The Musical is a combination of iconic songs, and exhilarating dance numbers, while The Wild Rovers is inspired by the music and magic of the beloved Irish Rovers,” says Bob Hallett, COO of Terra Bruce Productions, “With so many talented entertainers in Canada, we wanted to create additional opportunities for them to explore their skills. By entering the Toronto market, first through our original productions followed by our own home.”

Let’s Dance! The Musical Coming to Toronto Aug 10-20

The Wild Rovers / October 2023

Inspired by the music and magic of the beloved Irish Rovers, The Wild Rovers is a mad-cap adventure that sees the famed band whisked away to a fantastical land of Athunia, not to be confused with their sworn enemy, Ethunia, (and yes they are pronounced exactly the same). These fictional countries find themselves on the brink of war and the loveable, hard-working band must help them find a path to peace through song! There will be puppets, there will be no intermission and there most definitely will be no fourth wall.
